They say that everything happens for a reason. That the trials we endure are so we can relate to and help others. Marine Sgt David West is proof of this statement. Like many of us, David suffered a difficult transition to civilian life. But instead of letting that overcome him, Sgt West took those experiences and the extremely valuable life lessons from said experiences and now uses them for good, to help his fellow Veterans. David is now the Veterans Service Officer (VSO) for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Nevada County, CA and is using as well as teaching others to use every tool in the toolbox when it comes to helping a Veteran.
