Episode 64: Update on Gold Star Mother Ms. Tina Peters
On October 3, 2024, Gold Star Mother Ms. Tina Peters received a nine-year prison sentence. In this episode, we will broadcast District Judge Matthew Barrett's harsh and unwarranted remarks directed at Ms. Peters. Should the nine-year sentence stand upon appeal, Ms. Peters will spend the remainder of her life in prison.
The Book of Job from the Holy Bible narrates the tale of Job, a devout man whose faith is tested by the devil. The devil contends that if Job loses everything he has, his faith in God will wane. It's a harrowing account of loss, illness, death, and treachery, endured for the love of God the Father. This brings us to the contemporary parallel of Job, Gold Star Mother Ms. Tina Peters. Tina, a Navy Veteran's daughter, a Marine's widow, a Navy SEAL's mother, and a cancer survivor, has become the State of Colorado's primary target. Over recent years, Tina has lost her health, love, stability, life, and now, potentially, her freedom. Despite these trials, she has remained steadfast in her faith in God. We invite you to discover Tina's remarkable tale of bravery, strength, hope, and eventual restitution from God Himself, mirroring Job's experience, but doubly so.
